Swaledale Runners

The club was formed as Swaledale Road Runners in 1986, but in 2014 we changed the name of the club to Swaledale Runners to reflect the great range of activities our members take part in. We are proud of our reputation for being a very friendly club and we welcome runners of all abilities and paces. We have members who regularly compete in events from 5km through to marathons and ultras, on the roads, trails and fells. We also have members who just want to run for fun, fitness and friendship.

Our oficial club sessions are on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Richmond. We meet at the SOC in New Road, then head off at 6.45 for runs led by our run leaders. We generally offer a choice of road and trail runs, including structured training sessions on Thursdays. At weekends we have social runs, advertised on our members' Facebook page, where we explore the wonderful trails in our area.
